FUTMINNA Inter-Faculty Football Cup 2025 Kicks Off � Engineering vs Sciences 2-1
Federal University of Technology Minna's annual inter-faculty football tournament launched with Engineering defeating Sciences 2-1 in an opening match watched by 800 students.
The FUTMINNA Inter-Faculty Football Championship 2025 got underway at the university sports complex with a highly anticipated opening match between the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Natural Sciences. Engineering edged out a 2-1 victory.
Goals from Musa Ibrahim (35th minute) and Emmanuel Obi (78th minute) secured the win for Engineering, with Sciences pulling one back through Yakubu Danladi (65th minute).
Sixteen faculties will participate in the group stage format, with quarter-finals on July 5-6, semi-finals on July 10, and the grand final on July 15. The tournament is organised by the FUTMINNA Sports Council and sponsored by Indomie Nigeria.
